I noticed that there are multiple engineering and no art majors on the highest
paying chart and while there are multiple art majors and no engineering majors on the
lowest paying chart. It makes me think that people may choose majors in engineering
over art even if they don't enjoy it as much solely on how much the jobs you could get
pay and the lower rate of unemployment.
The Google trends graph plus my previous articles make me believe that people used to value
skills in art and business higher than engineering but now engineering pays better and is a higher valued skill.
From my third article I think that more and more women are also beginning to think of
engineering not as just a male occupation which results in a growing interest in engineering
and a possible drop in other areas such as art or business.
